Javier graduated with a degree in Interior Design from La Consolacion College in 1993. After five projects in this field, he decided to put aside his father’s preference and pursue a calling he cannot stay away from, the visual arts. The struggle that started from washing canvas sacks to paint on has progressed to the 12th solo exhibition and the first in a gallery this June 21, 2014. Though he stayed true to his personal color palette, this current exhibition shows a slight departure from the artist’s previous style of painting which usually featured one character peering straight at the viewer. This time, he delves deeper and visually manifested the workings of the minds of his images in the telling of his stories.
